Oasis Reunion, Tour Announcement and Camden: A Nostalgic Journey Back to Britpop’s Heartbeat!

The brothers are back after 15 years! We can’t believe it! All the rumours are true!
With today’s thrilling announcement of their reunion tour, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on why Camden has always been so crucial to their legacy and the broader music world!

A tip from our side: legends say, that every Oasis tour would end up in the Good Mixer pub in Camden, so you might want to hang around in the area after the London gig – who knows who you might meet!

Camden, London, is more than just a bustling market district; it’s a cradle of rock ‘n’ roll history! Find out below about how one of the most influential bands of the Britpop era, Oasis’s story is deeply intertwined with Camden’s vibrant music scene.

Camden in the 90s

Camden has long been the heartbeat of London’s rock ‘n’ roll scene, a dynamic area where countless legendary artists have started their careers or found their fame. For Oasis, Camden wasn’t just only a place to be; it was a launchpad. In the early ’90s, the band played at local hotspots like The Water Rats and Dingwalls, but it was The Good Mixer, an iconic Irish pub in Camden, that truly became their second home. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and being a hub for Britpop stars, The Good Mixer was where Oasis and their contemporaries gathered, and where the notorious Blur-Oasis rivalry is said to have sparked.

Noel Gallagher’s personal connection to Camden is equally significant. He lived in a basement flat at 88 Albert Street, a location now etched in Oasis lore. It was here that Noel received the life-changing phone call informing him that he had become a millionaire, a moment he describes as one of the most memorable of his career.

Camden, with its unique blend of musical energy and personal significance, was integral to the band’s rise!

The Big Reunion

After 15 years of speculation and sibling feuding, the Gallagher brothers are back together!

The recent announcement of Oasis’s reunion tour has set the music world abuzz, marking the end of a long hiatus that followed their split in 2009. Liam and Noel Gallagher, despite their often-publicised disputes, are reuniting to bring their electrifying live shows back to fans around the world!

This tour is more than just a series of concerts; it’s a celebration of Oasis’s legacy and a tribute to the places that shaped their story!

Sadly, there won’t be a Camden concert this time but still, the inclusion of Camden in the fans’ tour route is particularly important, reconnecting the band with a location that played a pivotal role in their journey! For fans, it’s a chance to relive the Britpop magic and experience the historic venues that were central to the band’s early success.

Tickets for the highly anticipated reunion tour will go on sale on August 31st at 09:00. Given the immense popularity of Oasis and the nostalgic pull of their Camden connection, you’ll want to set your alarm early—these tickets are expected to sell out fast!
