Feeder’s Teen Angst Is Back!
Feeder are guaranteed to summon the spirit of your inner alternative teen self (acne, mood swings and hand-decorated converses, not included).
Feeder have been going strong since the 90s – the Welsh alt-rockers smash our socks off every time. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t recognise their 2001 hit “Buck Rogers”. It was featured on TOTPs and makes for excellent time capsule viewing – complete with lead singer Grant Nicolas’ spiky frosted hair. Get ready for a show that will keep you guessing as it brings you up with roof shaking hits and mellows you out with their slower, softer, more mature sounding tracks.
If you are a fan of U2, they might be up your street – soft rock, heavy on the electric and drums with a wide sound and lyrics that you will relate to:
Waking up at twelve in my clothes again
Feel my head explode from a night of gin
Another night out late
I don’t want to drink, don’t want to be a clown
Last year Feeder played their 25th anniversary ‘Best Of’ tour. This year they are sounding authentically retro with their new album, Tallulah. The lead single “Fear of Flying”, can only be described as an epic comeback, with its distinctive American Pie-like feel.
