PAUL Di’ANNO / UNDERWORLD

Why is 2023 the year of Paul Di’Anno? Because what he went through in the last 8 years, since he had to end his long and successful music career due to a serious health condition, is something that few would have endured and had the strength to come back from. However, in 2023, after a successful operation in Croatia, Paul returns with the big world ‘The Beast Resurrection’ Tour, which will continue in 2024 and eventually cover six continents with over 150 concerts. On this tour, Paul Di’Anno decided to perform almost all the iconic songs from the first two Iron Maiden albums at the request of the fans, while in 2024 the set list will be changed. Paul Di’Anno returns to the United Kingdom, where he last performed, with only two songs, back in 2017, as a special guest of Iron Maidens. Paul will play a maximum of 10 shows in the UK in 2023, some of which are already sold out, while in 2024 fans will have the opportunity to enjoy the concerts of his new band and project Warhorse for the first time. Two fantastic special guest bands on this UK leg will be announced soon.

THURSDAY 30th of November

FRIDAY 1st of December

Lunar Effect, Cosmoths, Purple Kong / at Devonshire Arms
May be an image of text that says "THE LUNAR EFFECT COSMOTHS PURPLE KONG FROM /PM FREE ENTRY THE DEV. LONDON. FRIDAY 1ST DECEMBER"

The Lunar Effect are a quartet with a flair for hair and a penchant for fuzzy, snarling riffs that have been shaking the astral plane since their formation in 2016. Starting as a grunge outfit with a retro hard-rock impulse, they began to expand their sonic scope and crash-landed onto the stoner scene with their debut album ‘Calm Before the Calm’ in 2019. With every song propelled into orbit by fuzz laden riffs, nasty enough to blow the moon-dust off your amp, there is no denying that the Londoners mean business. Psychedelic visions and existential ideas are weaved throughout their brooding vintage sound, while bending stoner rock into their own unique mould.

This album pushes the listener into new and uncharted waters. – DOOM CHARTS *(#4 in Doom Charts 2019 end of year list)

The Lunar Effect draw from their influences and paint their own psychedelic debut masterpiece. – MAXIMUM VOLUME MUSIC

A masterpiece that makes me believe in the future of rock’n’roll once again. – THE QUEENS BASTARD’S

A groovy and tight rhythmic section slowly develops the grooves and lays the foundation for the warm fuzzy guitar riffs and gritty raw solos to float around until the mighty and hypnotic vocals take over and tie everything together into a sonic bundle of Kyuss, Radio Moscow and Graveyard. HAZY NEBULA

‘I’m drawn to it like some sort of “audio crack’ – FUZZ HEAVY

HEALTHY JUNKIES

Mixing Punk Rock with Grunge, Psychedelic Rock, New Wave, Garage, Glam and Goth Rock, add a soupçon of theatre and you have Healthy Junkies. Glamorous yet rebel lead punkster Nina Courson moved to London after she ran away from her home in Paris to pursue her own rock n roll rite of passage.. Destiny awaited when she found guitarist Phil-Honey-Jones in a Soho gig called PUNK in 2009. The two went on their way seeking solace in the world of music. Naming the band Healthy Junkies, reflecting the mental health epidemic currently spreading like wildfire through the core of western society. Nina and Phil arrived at this name as a reaction/rebellion to the numbing and dumbing down of nations with the use of so many pharmaceutical meds such as Prozac and other addictive drugs. The name has now taken on an even broader meaning with ‘Health’ being so high on the world agenda! In late 2013 Healthy Junkies added Dave Whitmore on bass and Tony Alda on drums hitting the road in the UK and Europe building a decent size following, filling the Arena stage room for Rebellion Punk Festival 3 times now. Support slots have included The Rezillos, Sham 69, The UK Subs, Walter Lure, The Professionals, GBH, Vice Squad, Theatre of hate, The Sex gang children, Goldblade, Viv Albertine (The Slits ), 999, The Vibrators and Spizz Energi. Other major UK festivals the band have played are Camden Rocks festival and HRH Punk festival at the academy in Sheffield.

They toured the US West Coast for the first time in October/November 2018. Rodney Bingenheimer (Sirius XM /KROQ DJ) and Brian Foss (KEXP Radio in Seattle) gave the band many airplay spins which inspired them to make that leap over the pond.. They have been played on the likes of BBC Radio London introducing by Gary Crowley, BBC 6 Fresh on the net with Tom Robinson ( 3 times ), BBC Jersey, Amazing Radio, Planet Rock, Total Rock, Lava TV, BT Sport and Blank TV. as well as many Internet Radio stations on a regular basis. They were part of a music documentary called The United Kingdom of pop, a 32 part series which tells the story of Rock’n’roll from its beginnings to now alongside legends such as DJ Don Letts and Lynval Golding from the Specials. It was presented and shown on ARTE TV which is one of the most important channels in France and Germany with millions of viewers. They have also appeared and featured in numerous magazines such as Vive le Rock,Louder than War, Big Cheese Magazine, Big take over magazine, Devolution Magazine, Punk Globe, Eighth Day, Punk Lounge. Safety Pin Magazine as well as a whole host of online magazines and blogs. The band have recently released their 5 th studio album entitled ‘Forever on the road part 1. The reviews so far are exceeding any preconceived expectation. 10 out of 10 being the latest from Powerplay magazine. This was made during lockdown along with 3 videos of singles off the album. The third ‘Tricky Situation’ is the latest single and video to be unleashed into the unsuspecting lockdown world.

Phil and Nina also have been running their own monthly night in Camden, London for eight years now. It is called Punk and Roll Rendezvous. The night became such a phenomenon that they decided to host a 3-day festival which they did in 2017, 2018, 2019… 2020 was filmed in the venue ( 30 bands )and presented live online as an interactive experience. The criteria for the night is FREE entry and always with at least one band on the bill from outside London, sometimes abroad. Some people liken in to the CBGBs scene in New York in days gone by. Punk and roll rendezvous and Healthy junkies have one main goal; that is to bring people together. People from across the board wishing to express themselves and be authentic without prejudice.

Healthy Junkies are looking to burn out the liars with fire…

instruments including guitar, bass, percussion, mandola, piano, organ, omnichord and vintage

MONDAY 4th of December

Extreme / at O2 Kentish Town

With the force of a Boston wrecking ball, EXTREME swing between unapologetic fits of fret-burning hard rock and intimately introspective balladry. This dynamic affirms the iconic multiplatinum Beantown quartet—Gary Cherone (vocals), Nuno Bettencourt (guitar), Pat Badger (bass), and Kevin Figueiredo (drums)—as one of rock’s most unpredictable, undeniable, and unbreakable groups whose songs course through the very fabric of popular culture. They’re the rare band whose music has appeared in an actual cult series a la Bill & Ted as well as the Netflix juggernaut “Stranger Things.” They’ve sold 10 million records, topped the Billboard Hot 100 at #1, packed major venues on multiple continents, memorably performed at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in London, and regularly average over 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. However, their dynamic approach hits harder than ever on their 2023 full-length offering, Six.
