We’re kicking off the year with a night of alt/punk/rock at the iconic Dublin Castle! This venue, synonymous with Camden’s rock n roll legacy, is the perfect setting for a night packed with energy, passion, and raw talent.
Healthy Junkies are sure to blow you away with their punk energy fused with elements of grunge, psychedelic rock, and more. Led by the electrifying Nina Courson and guitarist Phil-Honey-Jones, the band brings a mix of socially-conscious lyrics and energetic performances, making them a must-see act. Their upcoming sixth album, Listen to the Mad, is bound to be as intense as their live shows!
Televised Mind brings post-punk edge and alternative rock that’s caught the attention of BBC Introducing and major radio stations like Sirius XM. Their catchy hooks and strong lyrical storytelling will have you hooked from the first note.
The Kanz delivers an unmissable experience with their unique fusion of electronic punk rock. Merging pop-punk with EDM and cyberpunk influences, their high-energy performance promises to be a visual and sonic feast.
Loud George is back after a decade-long hiatus, bringing a grunge-infused sound that’s gritty, raw, and completely captivating. This Manchester-based band’s return promises to deliver a thrilling performance full of nostalgia and fresh energy.
January 16th, 2025 – The Water Rats
CMDN Presents: Penny Skint, Idle Wives, Max Bianco, and Katie Grace
Next up, we’ve got an indie rock extravaganza at The Water Rats – a venue that’s just as legendary as Camden itself. If you love music with heart, soul, and attitude, this is the night for you.
Penny Skint brings a no-nonsense, high-energy sound from their hometown of Dartford (yes, where The Rolling Stones came from). This alt-rock trio delivers gritty guitar riffs, thumping basslines, and electrifying live shows that have already made waves in venues like Camden Assembly and O2 Academy Islington. Their electrifying presence on stage guarantees a night to remember.
Idle Wives, a four-piece band from Kent, have already made a name for themselves with their mix of alt/indie rock influences from Biffy Clyro to Nothing But Thieves. Their emotive vocals and powerful performances create an atmosphere that’s deeply personal and impossible to ignore. They’ve quickly built a loyal following with their infectious energy and soaring melodies.
Max Bianco, the soulful poet and rock troubadour, will bring his deeply authentic sound, blending influences from Bob Dylan and Peter Doherty. Expect an emotionally charged set that combines gritty rock with poetic storytelling – a perfect match for Camden’s intimate venue.
Katie Grace’s wistful folk melodies, steeped in the landscapes and characters of her North East roots, will transport you to another world. Winner of the 2023 Alan Hull Award for songwriting, Katie’s evocative lyrics and powerful stage presence are sure to captivate the crowd.
January 23rd, 2025 – The Dublin Castle
CMDN Presents: Lola Aviva, The High Points, Ritzi Shō
Get ready for a funk and soul takeover at The Dublin Castle on January 23rd. This night will be all about soulful grooves, R&B rhythms, and live music that makes you feel something deep inside.
Lola Aviva, an indie-soul artist from London, brings deep emotion and groovy beats to the stage. Channeling influences from Motown, jazz, and pop, Lola’s performances are a blend of modern flair and nostalgic charm. If you haven’t seen her live yet, this is your chance to experience her captivating, spellbinding presence.
The High Points from Norwich specialize in feel-good funk and disco-inspired music that will keep you dancing all night long. With their original tracks full of infectious beats and plenty of high-energy covers, they are the perfect band to get the party started.
Ritzi Shō, the nu-funk brilliance of the night, combines classic songwriting with fresh, funky rhythms. Drawing inspiration from legends like Hall & Oates and the smooth vibes of Jamiroquai, Ritzi Shō will make sure the dancefloor stays packed all night with their irresistible grooves.
January 24th, 2025 – Camden Assembly
CMDN Presents: Belako (with Freya Beer and The Flitz)
We’re ending the month with a rock and electronic fusion extravaganza at Camden Assembly, featuring the genre-defying Spanish quartet Belako. With a sound that blends punk, post-punk, and electronic elements, Belako has taken the music world by storm – and this is their only London show during their UK tour!
Hailing from Biscay, Spain, Belako has been lighting up stages worldwide with their explosive performances. Known for their raw punk energy and hypnotic electronic vibes, their live shows are legendary.
