About Freya Beer

“Freya Beer is the newest leader of the dark goth pack” – Manchester’s Finest

Freya Beer, hailed as ‘a raw and thrilling new talent,’ is a singer-songwriter from West London whose music is a powerful fusion of gothic soul and alternative fashion influences. Her sound is a dark, danceable concoction that’s both evocative and electrifying, making her a standout in the contemporary music scene.

Inspired by art, literature, and a wide array of musical influences, Freya Beer’s journey began with the release of her debut single, ‘Dear Sweet Rosie,’ in November 2019 on her own label, Sisterhood Records. The single’s success caught the attention of BBC Radio 6 Music, leading to a live session with Marc Riley in 2020. Her debut album, ‘Beast,’ was recognised by the British Library and added to their British Sound Archive, highlighting its cultural impact.

Freya has performed at major festivals like the Isle of Wight Festival and Latitude, and her sold-out headline shows in London and Manchester have further solidified her reputation as a rising star. Her recent ventures include a headline show in New York City and an exclusive straight-to-vinyl recording session in Brooklyn.

Described by Manchester’s Finest as “the newest leader of the dark goth pack,” Freya’s magnetic stage presence and evocative music have earned her accolades from critics and fans alike. She was also featured in Time Out London’s Halloween issue, celebrating the resurgence of Goth culture. In addition to her music career, Freya hosts ‘Freya Beer’s Gothic Disco’ on Islington Radio, an eclectic mix of genres featuring notable guests like punk journalist John Robb.

“This is a rising star to catch before she outgrows these intimate venues and you wish you could say you’d been there”
