Greenness Talk
Greenness played our live stream and have recently taken a bluesy, soulful turn with their latest single, ‘Weatherman’. Major Bjork vibes. We sat down and asked them a few questions in the run up to our zombie horse gigs in September…
Why do you think people should come out to watch live music more?
Because it’s the best way to experience music. Being physically there in a room with musicians is a very special and beautiful thing, that allows you to connect with the songs on a deeper level. I’ve missed it terribly this year, and I can’t wait to start performing and going to gigs again!
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
I would LOVE to sing a duet with Björk!
Which famous musicians do you admire?
Esperanza Spalding, Robert Wyatt, Joanna Newsom, Julia Holter and many many more.
What is your favourite song to perform?
Our new single Destroy/Enjoy, it’s too much fun!
What’s next for you?
We are releasing our debut album SUNROOMS on 1st October 2021!
Greenness are going to be playing for us at some point in time. Wait a minute and I’ll get the date for you, hang on… (runs to proverbial diary) yes, it’s the, er… the… 17h of September at St. Pancras Old Church. Going to be a big one with Jon Coley and Ooberfuse joining to boot. You can get tickets here.
