Hobo started out flying in the face of the restrictions, and that hasn’t really changed. Thrown out of his home as a teenager, he lived in his car and began creating his quirky and unique rap / poetry sound. Later he was joined by his backing group, the Lovemakers.

He mixes contemporary with classical, in songs like Romeo and Juliet – a song about the impact of divorce on their generation… “But soft what light, through yonder window breaks, It is the east, but Juliet just puked off the balcony. How romantic.”

There’s quite a bit of anger in Hobo’s raspy tones, a sense that he’s railing against, well, pretty much everything. But that’s not to say this is empty noise, far from it. If you know Stromae, you’ll know what I’m talking about. He’s a bit like his angsty younger brother. Excellent music, mad at the world.

Get ready for rowdiness – all that big emotion is sure to fill the Roundhouse. Which is no mean feat.

This guy is for those of you that don’t fit in, the revelers and the rebels… Want to yell and feel free of what anyone thinks? Love mainstream beats? This is the gig for you.
