SEVEN RED LIONS
Seven Red Lions is an indie rock band based in London. Composed of lead singer and guitarist David Lion from Mexico and singer and bass player Sara Priegue from Portugal. After they met in London in 2014, they decided to pursue their dreams, and in 2015 they launched their first EP; since then, the band has been actively launching new material and playing around the world. The diverse nationalities that makeup Seven Red Lions can be felt in the tone of their music. “This band have an amazing indie rock sound that will leave you in awe with awesome guitar solos, speedy drums and impressive harmonies!”

SEVEN RED LIONS DURING OUR INTERVIEW:
How did you get into music?
Music has been present in our lives since a very early age; David started playing drums when he was 15 in Mexico; later, he started to learn guitar and other instruments. Sara has been singing since she was a child, but later, she realized that she needed to learn an instrument and started with bass in 2017. After moving to London, David started the Seven Red Lions project in 2014, and later, Sara joined the band as a vocalist, jumping to the bass in the following years.
What bands inspired your style and how do you differ from your roots?
We listen to a lot of different bands that inspired us to create music; here are some of our favourite ones: The Cure, Nirvana, Radiohead, Soda Stereo, Sonic Youth, Khruangbin, The Beatles, Wolf Alice, Sick Joy and many more.
What would you say thrills your soul?
We are big animal lovers; we know how wise they are and how much they can teach us. Unfortunately, human ignorance has not allowed us to understand their tremendous value. But we believe we are heading in that direction.
If you were to get stuck on a lonely Island, which would be the 3 albums you’ll take with you?
Kiss Kiss Kiss by The Cure; Never Mind by Nirvana; Sg Peppers’ Lonely Heart Club Band by Beatles; Blue Weekend by Wolf Alice; Any album from Khruangbin would be good.
Beatles Vs Stones?
No offence to Stones fans, but The Betales is our preference, we loved their music, and their art has inspired us a lot.
Do you believe in aliens?
Of course, we do believe in Aliens, we’re not alone, and we are definitely not the only species in this galaxy. So keep your eyes open
