New Model Army have been saying ‘screw it’ to convention since the 80s, which makes their shows the biggest middle finger we can think of. No one defines NMA. Talk about the embodiment of punk.
They smashed it this summer at Camden Rocks Fest and we are totally stoked to see them back in Camden this November. Frontman Justin Sullivan is killing it at every gig. Some bands falter as they age. I honestly think they’ve gotten way better. Justin keeps it fresh, even after 40 years in the biz.
Justin has a dry breathy voice, coupled with unrelenting electric strums and bestially heavy drums, played by Phil Tompkins.

‘Vengeance’ has to be one of their most infamous and controversial songs. You gotta hear it. Never mind your thoughts on writing songs from the perspective of a Nazi – you got to agree with one thing – it’s pretty damn catchy.
