Ana Silvera is criminally underheard, yet critically rated. For those in the know, her Christmas-time candle-lit gig will be the way to ring in that Solstice period. For those not in the know – there will be no better time to get acquainted that at this intimate show.

Ana’s voice is a vessel for myths, folk, messages and poetry – she’s an accomplished composer and studied Literature at University College London. Though don’t expect all her performance to flex those academic muscles – “Circle of Chalk” from Oracles has the upbeat rhythm and popping lead of a mainstream hit, just a bit more subtle in delivery. Kate Bush meets Laura Marling.

Ana Silvera has a list of credentials longer than your arm. Including BASCA nominee, Critics-End-Of-The-Year-Lists, she’s performed with the Royal Ballet, she’s performed at Guildhall, SAGE Gateshead, Southbank Centre.

Her intimate Christmas concert at St Pancras Old Church – this is still a Green Note event by the way – will be something to savour. Accompanied by Jasper Høiby on double bass and the Camden Voices choir – a collective of musicians at the cutting edge of ensemble singing right now.

St Pancras Old Church is a fantastic venue for the occasion. Ana’s experience of choral work and her partners for the night, Camden Voices, will stir up even the most secular of singer-songwriting fans amongst the echoes and the eaves.
