Please welcome the line-up for this evening!

redbook

Italian passion meets British quirk might be the best way to describe the genre-messy duo ‘redbook’. Swiss-born pop-lover Soraya Grosso brings rich, soulful vocals and a mastery of Italian classics to mould around British-born guitarist Jake Tweddle, a self-diagnosed coffee addict raised on a steady diet of punk and folk. All it took was a chance meeting outside the local cinema…

Hidè Takemoto

Hidè’s ‘magic fingers’ blends Indian, Spanish, Celtic, Japanese, blues, pop, rock, heavy metal on his guitar. Classically trained in Japan and at prestigious Guildhall School of Music in London, Hidè epitomises the tradition, compounding classical literacy and the finger-style artistry. Hidè’s music were featured on Japanese TV program as well as numerous radio in the UK including Monocle Radio with his work with Rié, Japanese singer-songwriter. As a composer, Hidè wrote many music including American calligrapher Thomas Ingmire’s project as well as ‘My Gentle Roses’ for Duo Ueda, which was published on Gendai Guitar magazine in January 2020.

Young and ingenius- Midori Jaeger

Born in Tokyo and raised in both London and Tokyo by her Japanese mother and American father, Midori Jaeger is a cultural melange, making a name for herself in the London music scene. After taking a degree in classical cello at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Midori has performed as a band member with the likes of Ex:Re, Jocelyn Pook, Joseph Lawrence & the Garden, Seven Eyes and Heather Nova, and on BBC Radio London, BBC Radio 3, Basique Officiel TV in Paris, and MOMA (Das Erste) in Cologne.

And Chris Murphy!

Chris Murphy is a musician with a distinct talent, his ability to nurture and maintain a multitude of musical identities that includes being a singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and producer. Even more daunting is his chameleon-like music persona that embodies a wide range of musical styles and influences from jazz, blues, country, classical, ethnic and electronic, resulting in a distinct original and powerful voice. He is that rare breed of musician that creates and performs in a wide range of musical worlds with ease.

A night of art can never be a waste of time! Spread the word about the gig among all the music lovers you know and get you tickets here!
