Our next live stream on September 1st brings together a pretty eclectic bunch. A real mix of genres and genre combining artists… it’s one not to miss.

We’ve got Brighton based progressive rock band Birdeatsbaby. With their dark, creeping bass lines and poetic lyrics these guys create a distinctive sound. Part cabaret, part electro feel. They’ve been described as “Kate Bush on acid”. Which is one hell of a epitaph if you ask me.

Hennessey describe themselves as “a good old fashioned hipster band from New York”. They certainly don’t disappoint, there’s echoes of the classics of that genre in their sound. Think groups like The Rapture and Class Actress. A mix of electric and industrial style beats and vocals make you long for the days of sweaty, packed basement venues to return. But we’ve heard that during the lockdown their virtual performances have become just as exciting and pioneering so it will make for more than a good enough alternative.
