We’ve got another show for you coming up on the 20th of October 8pm BST! Check the acts out…
Granny Goes to Heaven has already played the show, and the lead, Morgan Saunier is bound to spellbind us again with his hypnotic guitar picking, chord defying key changes, and heavenly voice.
He’s influenced by artists like MGMT and MacdeMarco. His songs feel like carefully handcrafted truffles, with sumptuous melodies that make you reflect upon life and feel both wistful and optimistic. This is an artist who knows how to write (my favourite kind).
We also have Bradley La & the Cosmic Soup, from Bristol, who are here to make you feel good. Much needed positive vibes and encouragement coming from this band, along with impressive rhythmic flowing rap and an all-consuming performance – it’s time to ‘get into the heart, too heady’…
Lisa Marini will definitely please any Katie Melua fans that are listening. She’s really good, what can I say?!
Jazz and blues tones in her voice and arrangements. She has a refreshingly ‘real’ sound for such a modern recording… Her vocals are definitely more dry and untampered with than many people’s these days (not that I don’t love acts that crank up the autotune for effect, I love that, too!) but, there is something satisfying about hearing a real voice singing a classic yet modern sounding song (I’m thinking of her latest video, ‘Secondhand New‘. She’s played the Jazz Café and the Greennote, and now she’s joining CL!
And a last minute addition, Suchy Sha, has been added to the line-up! She has a new single, ‘Mrs Brown’ coming out this November, which has a ska vibe to it. She’s just released ‘Laylow’ which is another feel good ska track that is there to make you feel good!
So check ’em out on Tues 20th October on our stream…
