NEXT TO NADA are a four-piece, grungy rock band from London, who dig making dirty riffs and shouting at hypothetical people… Don’t miss their next live show with us on Friday, 14th of April at Fiddler’s Elbow in Camden!

About NEXT TO NADA:

  • How did you get into music?
Tom, Jason and Georgie – musical households (relatives in bands/playing instruments), parents/siblings into indie/rock/metal etc. Leah – Discovered her love of music as a teenager, when she was watching an anime music video that featured a Swedish death metal song (….that’s not a joke).
  • What bands inspired your style and how do you differ to your roots?
Inspo’s – Drug Church, The Stooges, Muse, IDLES, Whores, Primus, Single Mothers, Car Seat Headrest, Nirvana, Beck, Sports Team
Differences – Our lyrics tend to be more sarky, ‘tongue in cheek’ and self-depreciating than our inspirations. We love punk energy, but don’t tend to use typical ‘punk rock’ riffs – there’ s usually a lot of sliding and semi-tone changes. (Ps. Georgie is addicted to ‘wah’…she’s got a problem).
  • What would you say thrills your soul?
    Georgie – Spontaneous, ill-thought-out, decisions
    Tom – Dutty guitar tones
    Leah – Service Stations (….again, that’s not a joke).
Jason – A nice pair of slacks
  • If you were to get stuck on a lonely Island, which would be the 3 albums you’ll take with you?
Beck – Mellow Gold / Swain – The Long Dark Blue / Black Midi – Schlagenheim

  • Beatles Vs Stones?
Beatles for skipping with your best gal through a field of daisies. Stones for doing heroin in the same field.
  • Do you believe in aliens?
Totally! We just wish they believed a little more in us…
