Nina Nesbitt: Scintillating Sensitivity
There’s an attitude in the music scene that pop can’t be good music. A musical turning up of noses. Well, I’m here to debunk this theory… I present to you, Nina Nesbitt.
Nina has a soft but powerful voice. It’s this juxtaposition that makes her stand out. That and the fact that she’s not just another manufactured, cookie cutter pop star. Nina has something to say. One of her biggest tracks, “Selfies”, reveals what Nina really thinks about the fake world of picture-perfect moments.
Yes, she uses the conventional pop sound. But she has an authenticity hiding underneath – check this little-seen performance at Koko –
This year, she’s had a summer of festival appearances, as part of The Flowers Will Fall tour (across America, Australia and the UK, (including the much-loved indie, boutique festival up in the Lake District, Kendal Calling). Her second album, The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change released at the start of 2019 is a bit more soul / R n B.
To all you Nesbians out there (the nickname for Nina Nesbitt fans) – get yourself and your friends a ticket. They sold out early – but you might be able to grab a couple here, if you’re lucky.
