ACE PERSONA – indie rock – “Innovative interpretation of rock in a relatable context.
Down to earth lyrics and infections grooves.”

Ace Persona, a band with their roots in Camden (London), are a four-piece Alternative Rock band influenced by artists such as: Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, and Arctic Monkeys. In addition to these, other artists make their way into the band’s sounds, ranging from Amy Winehouse, to A Tribe Called Quest. Founded in their university, these four are fueled by their love of music and passion to push the boundaries of rock with their unique sound. With their debut single “Waiting for The Rain”, which was released on the 20th of February, and live shows ready to play, this band is one you need to watch…

1) How did you get into music?

Alex (singer): both my parents are musicians my dad who is a punk rock guitarist showed me guitar and my mum who was a jazz singer got me into singing so through my parents.
2) What bands inspired your style and how do you differ to your roots?
Alex: I grew up with a lot of jazz but as I got older I started getting into hip hop which is what inspired our song NEMO
Oscar(drummer): I listened to a lot of classic rock and listened to the typical things which teenagers love like green day and mychem but this is completely different to what we do now.
Aiden(bass): I like straight up metal which is why there are some breakdowns in our songs.
Jude(lead guitar): I think uni changed the way we play and shows us so many nw influences.
3) What would you say thrills your soul?
Jude: being part of an artistic project where everyone is contributing to make something special.

4) If you were to get stuck on a lonely Island, which would be the 3 albums you’ll take with you?

Jude: exile on mainstreet, rubber soul and something by miles Davies
Alex: chet Baker live in Tokyo, 6 feet beneath the moon, californication
Aiden: in rainbows, something by gojira and the self titled record from lianne le havas
Oscar: 3 cheers for sweet revenge and I can’t think of another 2
5) Beatles Vs Stones?
Everyone thinks the beatles except Alex who prefers the stones
6) Do you believe in aliens?
Yes we’re all aliens
