MEET THE BANDS

FRIDAY 3RD OF MAY – DUBLIN CASTLE

Experience a night of Folk, Country, and Rock with a diverse lineup of talented musicians! Mark Shepherd, a Cambridge singer-songwriter, delivers thought-provoking acoustic rock with a distinctive baritone and influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Miles Davis. Belle Roscoe, led by siblings Matty & Julia Gurry, brings a dynamic stage presence reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac and The Black Keys. Hailing from Manchester, Katie and the Bad Sign captivates audiences with emotional Americana and blues-infused rock, channeling the spirit of Janis Joplin into modern-day melodies. Surrey’s Fin Pearson weaves tales of love and personal imperfections with his folk and country-inspired sound, while Derby’s Jemma Johnson enchants with big choruses and heartfelt lyrics, influenced by David Bowie and Damien Rice.

11TH MAY – NIA WYN AT CAMDEN ASSEMBLY

Artist, singer and producer Nia Wyn grew up in a small seaside town in North Wales. Despite breathtaking views, she found herself battling with demons relating to isolation, identity and mental health. In local junk shops she sought solace in old soul records discovering the likes of Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan and Marvin Gaye to hip-hop artists such as Nas and Lauryn Hill. Nia took inspiration from an eclectic range of music, helping her craft her unique story-telling abilities into her songwriting. Blending that with her unique and raw vocals, it instantly puts her out there as one of the top emerging soul-fusion artists coming out of the UK.
