King Princess at KOKO – POP

American singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist King Princess delivers her soulful vocals over warm, atmospheric synth production inspired by influences like Perfume Genius, Nick Cave, Beyoncé, and Dolly Parton. Some of her early songs featured a more bluesy rock tone, one that she would polish on her 2018 breakthrough, “1950.” The queer love anthem received cosigns from the likes of Harry Styles and Halsey and was her first release for Mark Ronson’s Zelig Records label. Soul, Blues and Rock’n’Roll at Blues Kitchen

A little bit of the deep south in London – enjoy bourbon cocktails & local beers whilst the Blues Kitchen’s world famous resident musicians play through a set of timeless blues, soul & rock n roll. Cortex at Jazz Cafe – Jazz Funk

Cortex / Cortex plays Troupeau Blue / mythic French funk jazz band from the ’70s plays their epic album, one of the most sought after pieces of vinyl on the planet. Legendary keyboard player Alan Minion will blow the night away. The Dickies at the Underworld – Punk Rock

The Dickies are an American punk rock band formed in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, in 1977. One of the longest tenured punk rock bands, they have been in continuous existence for over 40 years. They have consistently balanced catchy melodies, harmony vocals, and pop song structures, with a speedy punk guitar attack. This musical approach is paired with a humorous style and has been labelled “pop-punk” or “bubble-gum punk”. The band have sometimes been referred to as “the clown princes of punk”. JAZZ RE:FEST at the Roundhouse – Jazz

Jazz festival in Camden? This sounds good fun! Returning to London for the first time since 2017, festival goers will be treated to live performances from the best young UK jazz talent including: South London collective Steam Down, saxophonist-polymath Tyrone Isaac Stuart, drummer-producer Romarna Campbell, vocalists Zola Marcelle and Sofia Grant, and more yet to be announced.
